My name is Anne Tilford.
I have been a Bullitt County Public School teacher since 1998. I started teaching in BCPS at Bullitt Central High School, but I have been at North Bullitt High School since 2004. I have taught all levels of high school English and even college classes.
I started my college education in Munich, West Germany, attending the University of Maryland, Munich Campus, and received my A.A. I then transferred to the University of Louisville, joined the Women's scholastic fraternity Pi Beta Phi, and received my B.A. in English. I then finished my college days at Western Kentucky University and received my M.A. in English Literature. Even though my college days are over, I continue to learn through my students and the myriad of opportunities afforded me through professional development.
I started my teaching career at Elizabethtown Community College, moved on to teaching classes on the Fort Knox campus and at JCTC Southwest Campus. I gave up my college classes when I started my family for the regular hours of teaching high school. I have two daughters that I love very much.
I do NOT teach for the income; I teach for the outcome -- seeing my students learn, achieve and succeed.
